Dianne + Matt

Thompson's Point Wedding. Brick South - (c) 5iveLeaf Photography
Dianne and Matt were married Saturday June 24th, 2017 at Brick South located at  Thompson's Point in Portland, Maine.Dianne had a vision for their day and it was pure perfection. From the venue to the details, everything was thoughtfully planned out. Their bridal party was amazing and their day was full of emotion which is every wedding photographers dream! The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa was wonderful to work with for getting ready and first look photos. They were gracious enough to allow us to use their incredible rooftop for photos which offered stunning views of Portland's Old Port. The bridal party braved the heat and had a great time creating bridal party images on the cobblestone streets of the Old Port before the ceremony. One of the most special moments of the day was when Dianne's talented family performed for the couples first dance. After, guests took to the dance floor where they danced the night away.Dianne and Matt, thank you for trusting us to capture your wedding day. You two are amazing and we are so very happy for you both! When we are in Portland we will be calling to meet up for drinks! XO

Tim and I have known Ryan since we were just kids growing up in Lincolnville, Maine. We have been lucky enough to photograph Siera and her daughter and Ryan and his son many times over the last few years, and we were so excited when they contacted us shortly after becoming engaged to ask us to photograph their wedding!Siera and Ryan were married Saturday at Beaver Lodge in Hope, Maine surrounded by friends and family. The clouds that were present in morning gave way to sun and blue sky just in time for their ceremony by the water. It was a beautiful day and we couldn't be happier for these newlyweds as they begin their life together. We wish them a lifetime of love!Thank you Siera and Ryan for trusting us to capture your day. It was an honor!

This was our first time shooting in their gorgeous space, and after a long winter Tapas Night was the perfect way to kick off the season! Fabulous wine, incredible food, fantastic mariachi music and flamenco dancers, great friends...it was truly so much fun. Here is just a little taste of some of the fun that we captured!

Quite possibly the most amazing thing about being a photographer is that you get to meet incredible people and then capture their most momentous and precious moments. You get to cry happy tears with them and laugh out loud as they celebrate their joy. It is an honor to be present for such moments.Derek and Ron, to be able to witness your love for one another and to hear your vows exchanged was a gift to all of those who where present. Your day was so full of emotion and love. Our hope is that we have captured the feeling of your day so that you may look back 10, 20, 30 years from now and recall with clarity how you felt when you exchanged those beautiful vows and celebrated with your closest family and friends.
And to our friends at Cellardoor Winery and Trillium Caterers, you were incredible as always!!#RDlovewins

Laine + Critta

Wedding Governor Hill Mansion Augusta Maine 5iveLeaf Photography
I can't believe that I have neglected to blog this wedding before now. It was total heaven!!I have known Laine since we were just young girls growing up in Lincolnville Maine. We lost touch over the years but luckily reconnected thanks to the magic that is social media. When I found out she was engaged I was so happy for her and looked forward to meeting this man of hers some day. Laine has always been beautiful, both inside and out. She has always had one of the most kind, loving, and independent spirits of anyone that I have ever known. In a nutshell, if she said "yes" then this guy must be amazing!Tim and I had the opportunity to first meet Critta when he delivered our firewood a couple of years ago. Yes, that's right, this groom is our "wood guy." We both immediately liked him and it was obvious that he was intelligent, kind, and charismatic. Most importantly, when he spoke of Laine there was a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. There was no doubt that this was a man who was deeply in love with his bride to be.Laine and Critta asked us to photograph their wedding and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to capture their day. They chose to get married on a Sunday morning the week before Christmas (funny story as to how Laine, I mean they, selected their date and time) at the Governor Hill Mansion in Augusta Maine.  Mother nature decided to stir things up with a nice ice storm overnight. Luckily Laine and Critta's guest list was comprised of hardy "Mainers" who weren't afraid to brave the road conditions. What resulted was a magical day. The perfect couple in a perfect venue surrounded be people who love and support them.I will let the images tell the story of their day...

Cellardoor Vinfest 2016

Cellardoor Winery knows how to throw a party like no other. Friday night, Cellardoor and their friends from Wallace Events and Trillium Caterers hosted a fabulous roaring '20's themed party at Thompson's Point in Portland, Maine. Guests were beautiful as were the lovely fan girls of Smash Party Entertainment NYC. The food was scrumptious, and the performances by both Wavelength and Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. were incredible. And as always, DJ Jon (Event Mix DJ) had the dance floor overflowing with happy guests! We post all of these gorgeous images from Cellardoor events in the hopes that those there can relive the fun and to hopefully tell the story of the event for those who where not able to attend but wished that they could be there. One of the things that Tim and I love the most about these events, which can be challenging to convey through images alone, is the great diversity of happy people and the welcoming spirit that Cellardoor shares with all guests in attendance. We live in a world that is very much divided, but under the tent at a Cellardoor event, you would never know it. Cellardoor truly knows how to welcome all with a spirit of friendship and hospitality and we hope that some of that spirit shows through in the images that we capture and share.
