5iveLeaf Photography will be holding dancer mini-sessions on January 16–18, 2026.

Session Fee: $185

• 15-minute session
• Includes all final edited digital images of photographer’s choosing with personal use license. (In most cases, this should result in at least 10 photos of your child.)
• Proof gallery provided for purchasing professional quality prints at a range of sizes.

Scheduling Multiple Dancers

One dancer per time slot please so we can create beautiful portraits for you.

Fifteen minutes is not a lot of time to get dancers comfortable and nail an action shot. Many times we have to do several takes of one pose or dance move. If you have more than one dancer in a 15-minute time slot, please know that we will not be able to get as creative as we could with one dancer, and you may end up with fewer images and more basic poses.

If you would like to schedule multiple sessions, you’ll need to schedule them one at a time. When you’ve completed scheduling the first one, just start the process over and schedule another.

If you have three dancers, we can generally handle that in two back-to-back sessions. You’ll end up with 40 minutes instead of 30, as we will not take a 10-minute break between sessions.

Waitlist

If we are fully booked and/or the time slot you need is not available, please email Kristen at photos@5iveleaf.com to be added to the waitlist. The waitlist will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Payment

A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE retainer will be due at time of booking. The remainder will be due at least 2 weeks before your session. If final payment is not received by January 5th, your time may be released to the next person on the waitlist.

For those booking after January 5th, your full amount will be due at the time of booking.

If you cancel your session, your full payment is not refundable unless we can book another dancer in your reserved slot(s).

When To Show Up for Your Session

Please plan to arrive early for your shoot. We recommend 5-10 minutes, longer if your child needs to change after arriving at the studio. Your dancer should take a few minutes to warm up and stretch prior to their session. We are scheduling these every 15 minutes with a 10 minute break for us in between to refresh and reset, which does not allow for shooting beyond your allotted time. Arriving late will mean your child gets less time in front of the camera.

What To Wear

This is your athlete’s session. They are welcome to wear whatever they feel best represents them as a dancer. We’ve had anything from favorite dance costumes to jeans.

Please limit outfits to no more than two. One is best, as it will maximize time without the break required for changing. We encourage the dancers to make this their own! The backdrop will be gray, and a mix of color and black-and-white images will be delivered.

When Can I Expect My Photos?

We will edit and deliver your photos as quickly as possible but we don’t release galleries until all dancer photos have been edited. Magic takes time. Your images will be delivered on or before March 19, 2026.
