As if we didn’t have enough fun Thursday night, things heated up again Saturday afternoon in the vineyard during Smackdown – Cellardoor’s very own cooking show and pairings event!
Kerry Altiero, owner of Cafe Miranda Rockland did a phenomenal job as MC. Trillium Caterers once again came through with unbelievable food which was paired with Cellardoor wine, craft brews from Oxbow Brewing Company, and bourbon and rye! Pemaquid Oyster Company was on hand shucking unbelievable oysters which were paired with bubbly and potato chips. Who knew that was such a great pairing?!
Contestant chefs included Chris Long and Shelby Stevens of Natalie’s at the Camden Harbour Inn, Mary Totochaud of Everyday Pottery, Soone Hitt, and Judy Bernier of Podzook. Guests had the opportunity to taste their recipes and vote on a People’s Choice winner.
The celebrity judges included Michael Salmon of the Hartstone Inn and Hideaway, Lani Stiles of Megunticook Market, Phillip Crispo of The Norumbega Inn, and Norm Herbert of Bintliff’s Ogunquit Restaurant (by the way, we hear that congratulations are in order Norm!). The judges did a fantastic job!
The great folks at Wallace Events and DJ Jim of DiscMaster DJ Services kept guests comfortable under the huge tent and entertained throughout the day.
